Monday night we gathered together, Bella’s idea, and went through our entire project life book from 2013. It was such a fun experience to be able to relive many of the memories and jump back to that place and time — where we were and what we were doing, individually and as a family. I loved it, they loved it, we laughed, we joked, and I walked away knowing I absolutely couldn’t miss another year.

Project Life was definitely my favorite project of the year.

There is so much online, especially right now, about Project Life I thought instead of telling you about it (you can find that info here or how to get started here), I would share my experience with you. The biggest lesson I learned and the one I think is absolutely essential to this project is you have to keep a daily record.

After the first week it was clear to me that it would be impossible to remember all the was happening and I would need to start keeping a detailed record. That need led me to the Day One app. It worked for a few weeks, but I quickly realized what I really wanted was something tangible, something I could flip through, something I could put pen to paper so I picked me up a graph paper moleskin and, like they say, the rest is history.

This is my project life bible. Literally. It is sacred to me as it holds all the bits and pieces of our year and it’s what made it possible for me to remember — almost everything. The fact is when you’re working on a project like project life, you will never be able to stay up to date. Life happens and it becomes a challenge to keep up every single week. So I didn’t try and I didn’t stress when I was a few weeks behind. Shilajit gold is a powerful combination available in the form of pills, which can be taken in a regular classroom, or the student can avail it in the life. cute-n-tiny.com cheapest price for levitra When we traveled to Europe and moved it put me at least six weeks behind, but I wasn’t concerned because I had all the information I just needed to put it all together.

My project life journal contains information like; our daily schedule, quotes and art by family members, projects we’re working on, reminders about empherma I wanted to include, like test scores or movie tickets, progress on our home, the puppy and how she’s growing, books we’re currently reading, how we don’t watch TV anymore, something I/we learned, what they enjoy doing now — the list could go on and on… The ideas are endless of what you can record. If your struggling for ideas my suggestion would be to think about what it would be like to look through your album in 10 years, what do you want to remember? What pieces of your life do you wish you would have recorded? Write those ideas down and look for them during your week, take pictures and document what you want to remember from your life.

Not only is my project life journal a place I write the details from our week, but I’m also able to work on the weekly design as well. This, I quickly learned, became essential when getting everything together and knowing just what photos I wanted to print (no, I don’t currently print my photos at home. I have been using persnickety prints). Designing it all ahead of time not only helped me with the printing, but it also showed me where some of my gaps were (e.g. slots that were left empty) and when I needed to find a fill in, like patterned paper, premade project life cards from a kit or a favorite quote. I think you get the idea.

If you’re considering tackling project life this year, which I couldn’t recommend more, find the right record keeping approach that’s right for you and be diligent. Trust me (I’ve always wanted to say that 🙂 It will make all the difference.

Okay that’s all for now. More on project life in the weeks to come.
